* Day-to-day responsibilities require regular communication with the in-house and satellite edit staff members as well as close interaction with the sales team and the industry.
* This position will act as the editorial hub of information for all edit, management, design and sales staff.
* Some travel will be necessary to stay in touch with the satellite edit staff and the activities we cover.

Qualifications:

* A solid proficiency in Word, Excel, &amp; Photoshop, are a minimum.
* An ideal candidate would also be able to shoot photos, view and log footage in Final Cut and know standard web design and compression programs. 

This individual will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which requires excellent communication and social skills. The job demands extensive interaction between, edit, sales, production and management both in and out of house.

*Attend to all basic department policies and procedures.
*Perform design and development assistant duties such as color ways, design of carry over styles, etc.

Qualifications
* 2+ year degree in Merchandising and/or Design (FIDM, Otis, AA, etc.)
* MUST be proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop.
* 1 year experience in a similar position for an apparel company
* Experience in construction, costing and sourcing a plus.
* Similar design/merchandising experience within an apparel company.
