Is it a good idea to send a company a resume even if they have no jobs posted?  Does this come off as annoying?  Even if you have real experience for the job?

Some larger corp don't accept them.
I actually applied for a job got the job and then a month later got a letter in the mail stating they don't accept unsolicited resumes.  ha ha.

If you know someone in the company and you forward to them as an inside line.
That is a better more successful way.

In my experience unsolicited resumes aren't very successful.

If you have good skills and experience it is more likely that the resume will get looked at. Also since there is nothing to compare against there eyes will not be so keen to cut like when they get a million resumes when they do post for a job. I say go for it. Just make sure you stuff is polished and it lands in the right persons lap.

if you're really interested to their company, then why not try? but don't really expect on the result, because you'll know that they are not hiring and you'll just giving them an information about what you want to be there! :D

yes sending resume to high profile companies at any time is sometimes fruitful. If your resume shows that you are very much qualified, skilled and professional then they may keep your resume for future job vacancies. They may not call you for an interview right now but when they will schedule one they will call you. But for that your resume has to be that good.
