Hey everyone! I graduated fom FIDM in March with an AA in Merchandise Product Development and need some help with my resume! Please let me know also about the layout and if I should omit anything. Im trying so hard to get into the action sports industry but I'm not having much success. I live in Temecula, CA and there aren't many companies close to me, unless its inside the mall, for me to get any experience in the ASI. I have lots of retail experience but I'm afraid an interviewer will not take me too seriously as I work at a tanning salon and hair salon. I'm going to the Schmoozapalooza this friday and would appreciate any help!

Thank you!

I do, however my schools idea of a portfolio is a final project from a class just printed out and put into a portfolio folder. Shocked I do have it in powerpoint form as well because we had to present it on a screen. What should I do to show the interviewer everything I, a product developer, have to offer?
My "portfolio" has a line sheet, theme, color and trim boards, sketches of each garment (9), a tech pack (which I love tech packs), and a merchandise calendar.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Your best bet is to get an online profolio, check coroflot.com, and play up you education in your resume.
