Born from a passion for music and art, ATTICUS Clothing was founded four years ago by Blink-182 frontmen Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge. Since then ATTICUS has been turning heads and building a reputation for innovation, collaboration and creativity by infusing the energy of music and art into each piece in the collection. Beginning with an online store, Loserkids.com, Mark, Tom and long time friend Dylan Anderson created an environment where kids could get all the music, movies and clothes that were otherwise hard to find in the suburbs. Loserkids was a place where Mark and Tom could showcase smaller bands, all their favourite movies and above all their personal taste in clothes. But they wanted more, something bigger and all their own. The three friends collaborated with Jon Humphrey of Adio Shoes and PLanet Earth clothing to make their vision of creating something unique, a reality. The ATTICUS founders took their surf, skate and snow backgrounds, combined with a love for music, and began to design clothing that reflected their personalities and imaginations. From the start, it has been the power of music and creative talent that has led ATTICUS into the closets of people around the world. As the word of the clohting line that refuses to fit in was passed from stage to stage, and country to country, a reputation was built. ATTICUS is a movement - an inspiration for those everywhere to never lose sight of their dreams. Music is at the heart of everything for ATTICUS. The ATTICUS compilation CD's, which showcase the talent of the ATTICUS musical family help support their loyal music roots. The release of our 3rd ATTICUS CD " Dragging The Lake" is great for the ATTICUS brand but more importantly, it is great for our smaller bands that we work so hard with. The bigger acts like Blink 182 bring so much exposure to the CD that it can really be a launching pad for these great (lesser known) bands, said Anderson.
