Kevin Plank, a senior captain on the University of Maryland Football team, the burden of a soaked cotton undershirt during practices and games was more than an inconvenience; the discomfort affected his performance. His teammates agreed.
So in 1995, Kevin set out with one simple goal in mind: build the perfect T-shirt. It was upon this basic foundation that the complex engineering and design of Under Armour products was built.
Over the past decade, Under Armour’s growth has been exponential. We are now a worldwide corporation that relies on the hard work of over 1,000 employees who are divided between a 350,000 square foot distribution house, a 17,000 square foot state of the art R&D quick turn facility, and our Corporate Headquarters overlooking the striking Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD. We have transformed the inspiration of selling one T-shirt into six diverse gear lines, selling our products in nearly 7,000 retail stores across North America and Europe.
Starting as a small local brand, we are appreciative of this community and eager to reciprocate their support through sponsorship of events and partnerships with charities throughout the Baltimore area.
Above all else, Under Armour is concerned with the performance of their products and the athletes who depend on this equipment. We remain dedicated to new technology and are determined to enhance the performance of every athlete on every level.
We believe in competition, and recruiting for our team is no exception.
Under Armour Inc. is proud to offer competitive salaries, employer paid medical premiums, an employee stock purchase plan, and a generous employee product discount. To view our current opportunities, you may visit our career page at www.uabiz.com/careers.
