Founded in 1999, Life Rolls On is dedicated to improving the quality of life for young people affected by spinal cord injury (SCI). Utilizing action sports as a platform to push the bounds of possibility after SCI, Life Rolls On produces quality of life programming, raises awareness about spinal cord injury and funds research to find a cure. Because of its outstanding work and strong ties to the sports and entertainment communities, LRO has been profiled in national print, television and radio, including: Dateline NBC, Good Morning America, Los Angeles Times, People, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, ESPN the Magazine, Fuel-TV and others. For three years, Life Rolls On was recorded as the #1 charity on MySpace.com and continues to be one of the most popular non-profit organizations on the site. In 2007, the organization won its first EMMY® nomination for “Best National Public Service Announcement.” Soon-to-be-released is “Jesse’s Story,” a documentary profiling the extraordinary life of Life Rolls On Founder Jesse Billauer.
