Koru Swimwear is inspired by the New Zealand Kiwi lifestyle, best described as a relaxed, “can do” attitude with a love for the environment and great outdoors. We aspire to be a leader in eco-responsible manufacturing practices by using only sustainable and earth-friendly fabrics. Our swimwear fabric comes from the Italian company, Jersey Lomellina, which is a Green Vision company making efforts to reduce and prevent pollution associated with textile manufacturing. The company is also proactive in giving back to the environment with tree planting and water conservation programs. We purchase only swimwear fabric that uses recycled polymide made by ECONYL®. ECONYL® works in partnership with HealthySeas.org to use discarded items from our oceans, such as fishing nets to make the recycled yarn in our fabrics. Our apparel is made with the use of sustainable natural and organic fabrics that eliminate the use of harmful herbicides, pesticides or fungicides. While bringing earth-friendly swimwear and apparel to women all over the world, we also prioritize product quality, comfort, function, unique designs, and customer relations, for our long-term success. Although Founder, Julie Stine, is a Kiwi, she lives in the U.S. and manufactures the swimwear and apparel in the U.S. with factories where fair wages and working conditions are standardized by strict U.S. laws. Koru Swimwear also loves to promote the arts and artists such as well-known surf artist, Jay Alders, who offers a signature line of his own unique prints to the line...prints you won’t see anywhere else. Finally, we are committed to the environment as a member of 1% for the Planet and donating to HealthySeas.org. Look great and feel great wearing Koru Swimwear!
