It all started in 2009 as a college project and after several months of, design, testing and product development input from some of the top riders and mechanics in the world of off - road motorcycling including MX legend Bob Hannah; the line was defined. In 2010 Eddie Cole who was the founder and President of Answer Products, Protaper, Manitou, SIXSIXONE, Tag Metals, Sunline and Filtron led the Matrix team of Chadd Cole, Cameron Cole, Brady Sheren, Arnold Taylor and Brad McLean and introduced and launched the MATRIX CONCEPTS line in the spring of 2010. The company had instant success with over 20 professional and amateur teams using and endorsing the line. The company set up and has offices and warehousing facilities in both Valencia, CA USA and Vancouver, BC Canada. Phase 1 product strategy was focused on motorcycle off road stands, loading ramps, tie-downs, utility cans and unique line of rubber work mats. The design team wanted to introduce a new approach to some old school products and developed a five part design criteria; Make the products from high strength material that was lightweight and very strong. Offer new innovative features that improved the product over the competition. Give the rider/team the ability to personalize the products with their name/number giving them the "factory look". Offer a great retail value. Offer a complete line of garage and track necessities. In 2011 the team added additional garage and track necessities including a line of toolboxes and several accessories. The business doubled in size and continues to grow internationally selling product in over 40 countries worldwide. In 2012 the company doubled the business again and the Matrix Concepts product line by adding several new accessory products growing to 500 part numbers and introduced the 1.7 Cleaning Solutions line that includes complete cleaning products and accessories. The company moves to a new 16,000 sq. ft. 2 story Valencia headquarters in 2012. For 2013 the company's growth continues adding 13 new products and plans to diversify and expand its sale efforts to include the bicycle industry with a new bicycle stand line and a specific line of 1.7 Cycling cleaning line of products.
