Millennial media platform COMPLEX announced today the launch of COMPLEXCON, the first-ever, first of its kind festival and exhibition created to bring together pop culture, art, music, food, style, sports, and more. Created for consumers, ComplexCon will serve as a celebration of everything that is COMPLEX – an ultimate festival experience complete with concerts, shopping, panels and conversations, art, food and much more.

Daytime events will cover everything from shopping to food (and more) while evening festivities will be centered around music performances and experiences – all to be curated by a select annual host committee.  As the most relevant voice in pop culture, COMPLEX is uniquely qualified to bring this experience to life.

ReedPop, the producers of New York’s Comic-Con and Agenda, have partnered with COMPLEX to create a unique event that will bring together a consumer experience carefully curated by the most influential minds in the world to life. World renowned icon and renaissance man Pharrell Williams and i am OTHER have signed on to help create ComplexCon. In this capacity, Pharrell will work both in front and behind the scenes as the Cultural Director and Host Committee Chair for the event. He will lend his knack for curation to this one-of- a-kind event.

Of his involvement, Pharrell explains, “I’m inspired by a myriad of different events I’ve had the fortune of being a part of…whether they’ve focused on art, design, music, food or science.  When i am OTHER connected with Marc Ecko and the COMPLEX team, we were instantly aligned – we wanted to combine a little bit of all these elements and create a unique, new initiative”.

Internationally prolific contemporary artist Takashi Murakami has joined as the first Host Committee member for the event. He is responsible for designing the event’s brand identity and will lend his oversight to the overall design and aesthetic experience. “I’m a huge fan of COMPLEX and especially like how they provide me a daily fix of posts (on celebrity entertainment and culture). When Marc Ecko approached me about being on the host committee, I met with him in their office on 50th street and felt firsthand the good vibe and untamed, youthful energy they possess,” says Murakami. “It was that spirit that led me to participate in the project. It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun! I hope it will turn into something crazy”.

“With ComplexCon, we will bring the spirit and energy of our brand to life, beyond just the Internet into real life,” says Marc Ecko. “Our audience, and all the contributors that shape our like-minded universe of content are some of the most influential people in the world. Period. Wewanted to create an event that celebrates them and creatively push ourselves to constantly elevate and re-imagine our shared horizons.”

Event and Ticket information will be available at
