This position will work cross-functionally to support the sales, finance and executive teams through providing timely and accurate development and execution of the entire material planning process.

Our new colleague must be able to demonstrate successful experience in creating product planning and purchasing methodology from the ground up. Additionally, the ideal candidate has successfully managed the implementation of an MRP system.

Needless to say, the role requires an analytical mindset with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of identifying, and taking on complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Create monthly and seasonal forecasts and required inventory plans at SKU level
• Review and finalize forecasts and inventory plans with Sales Ops and Executive teams though regular SIOP meetings.
• Based on forecasts and required stock levels, send out purchase orders to fully owned ABUS factories.
• Monitor demand and lead-time variances.
• Resolve escalated availability issues.
• Request expedited deliveries of product to maintain correct inventory levels.
• Recommend product phase-out or discontinuance based on sales history and/or inventory targets
• Review sub assembly and small parts reports to determine if there will be potential shortages or stock outs and provide solutions for avoidance.
• Provide product delivery and inventory information to Operations, Sales, and Customers.
• Manage product database in ERP System.

Job Requirements

• Able to thrive in a growing, small business environment with an ability to creatively attack problems head on
• Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Deep understanding of the supply and demand planning process
• Exceptional attention to detail, follow–through and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to a strict calendar
• Must be able to demonstrate a high skill level in Excel
• Clear and concise communicator experience
• 5+ years in a similar role
• B.S. Degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, or Engineering required
