Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and specific guidance of the IT Project Manager, Network & Operations Specialist will ensure the stable operation of the Sole Technology MS Exchange and Windows environments and will be responsible for daily technical and operational activities performed within our Financial System (Axapta), Aims, Clippership, etc.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Install, configure, test, maintain/repair, monitor, and troubleshoot end user computers/software, network hardware, printing/scanning devices (such as RF Guns, and other products) within the warehouse and Lake Forest.

Maintain data quality within the warehouse management system (WMS) application by ensuring proper control processes are being followed

Maintain data quality within the shipping system by ensuring proper control processes are being followed

Recommend and implement corrective solutions to operational warehouse problems, including off-site repair as needed

Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plan

Maintain archived data on storage devices.

Perform maintenance duties such as system backup, cleanup and system recovery on a regular basis.

Perform maintenance, service, management of current systems, designs, development.

Write code, when needed, to application services including Axapta, EDI, and any other instructed by management.

Responsible for assisting in trouble shooting systems.

Education and/or Experience/
Required
High School diploma

Preferred
Additional education and/or training preferred. Associate’s degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year college/technical school.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must be available and rapidly respond to problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Requires consistent demonstration of a professional, positive demeanor within the workplace
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with many levels of employees across various disciplines and departments, as well as external contacts
Ability to maintain accuracy, and quality in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
Ability to be flexible in changing daily workload priorities as directed
Ability to use commercial and custom software products
Knowledge of Axapta ERP system, data analysis, and programming technologies, concepts, and techniques
Knowledge of WMS Shipping Systems RF guns WIFI Technology
Knowledge of MS Suite, Word Excel Office as they apply to business functions.
Knowledge of current computer technology.

Required skills include knowledge of data processing, programming, systems design, problem analysis and hardware (e.g. RF Guns, Printers, Computers, Scanners, Conveyor Belts, Network Switches…).

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk; hear; walk; stand; sit; to use stairs; to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; and to use hands repetitively. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Normal 20/20 vision ability (with corrective lenses, if needed) is required by this position.
