Job Description

Quiksilver is looking for a District Manager - Northwest (NV), to join the team in Las Vegas, NV.

RESPONSIBILITY & PURPOSE //
Motivate, support, and communicate with employees throughout the organization ensuring relationships built upon supporting the ultimate guest experience. Consistently maintain well managed, profitable stores, while supporting Quiksilver Retail’s values, mission, and beliefs. Inspire and energize others to commit to vision, capture minds, and always lead by example.

Supervision Exercised // Actively supervise retail store management and staff of 10-15 stores.

RESPONSIBILITIES //
· Create a learning, nurturing, entrepreneurial environment that promotes internal career growth.
· Select and mentor talented people, provide coaching and feedback developing team members to their fullest potential. Recognize and reward achievement.
· Build teams with an emphasis in service while supporting the QS culture and vibe.
· Listen and assign the highest priority to customer satisfaction, including internal customers. Trust others and encourage risk taking/boundary less behavior.
· Effectively manage all controllable expenses and drive profitability in all aspects of store operations, achieving sales plans. Maintain each stores and the territory P&L.
· Participate in new stores planning and execution including recruiting, training, and store set up.
· Cultivate an environment of open, authentic dialog with store teams and home office partners.
Communicate in an open, candid, clear, and consistent manner.
· Responsible for performance management and evaluation, partnering with HR team to ensure employment practices are adhered to.
· Oversee administrative functions for timeliness, accuracy, and consistency, i.e. HR, OPS, Payroll / Accounting, and Merchandising.
· Ensure compliance with state / federal regulations & company policy / procedures.
· Facilitate implementation of company training programs and work with employees on career succession opportunities.
· Participate in the development and execution of Loss Prevention Programs.
· Listen and effectively probe for new ideas, see change as an opportunity.
· Be fair and compassionate yet willing to make difficult decisions.
· Ensure strong partnership with the buying team by providing regional and seasonal input.
· Ensure proper execution of visual merchandising directives and serve as a conduit of information for consumer feedback.
· Manage upkeep of physical plant in partnership with store management teams.
· Be an ambassador and embrace, articulate, and reflect the Quiksilver culture.
· Commit to maintain the culture by influencing the store teams to embrace and reflect our value system through the evolution of the business.

Job Requirements

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS //
1. Minimum 5 years in store management.
2. Minimum 5 years multi-store management.
3. Bachelors Degree in business or related field preferred.
4. Ability to travel minimum 50% of the time.
5. Computer skills: Excel, Word, and MS Office.
6. Experience in Retail Merchandising and Visual concepts.
7. Eager to participate in all levels of work, constant interest in learning.

1. Possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and effective communication skills.
2. Organized multi-tasker with the ability to direct internal / external employee and guest relations in all arenas.
3. Lead, coach, and mentor all levels of staff.
