Job Description

Quiksilver is looking to add a Merchandise Planner to the team at headquarters in Huntington Beach, Calif.

Seasonal Strategy:
• Owns regional hindsight analytics to support Hindsight Meeting
• Partners with Regional Merchandiser to identify regional wins and opportunities by channel, supported by regional analytics
• Stays informed of regional marketing promotions
• Provides check of regional category level sales and margin targets, set by Brand Head of Product, to ensure these targets are met in regional line plan
• Ensures adherence and provides analytics behind category level style & material counts, globalization targets and regional MOQ for global styles
• Provides analytics for the development of targets for regional SMUs
• Provides analytics to support final regional line plan strategy that meets all targets

Pre-Season:
• Provides analytics and supports Regional Product Manager in building regional line plan
• Provides retail specific insights through regional store planning team to support building of regional line plan for each channel of business
• Provides on-going analytics and support during the iterative rollup process of regional line plans into the global line plan, ensuring financial and all key targets are met
• Partners with Regional Product Management to finalize regional line plan after Regional Line Adoption

Buy Execution:
• Compiles orders and updated sales plans from the region in which they reside as they build regional buy plans
• Owns forcol execution, demand planning and supplemental buy execution
• Supports iterative rollup process of regional buys into global buy and makes buy adjustments as necessary
• Ensures regional retail flow timing, store cluster & localization needs are incorporated
• Provides analytics and support to achieve targeted margins at style level
• Ensures buys are placed on time at each calendar milestone

In-Season:
• Participates and leads financial components of weekly cross functional meeting to review weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual performance by channel across all key KPIs for the region in which they reside
• Partners with channel leaders to ensure seasonal marketing events & promotions are properly executed across channels in the region in which they reside
• Partners with global Product Management on chase and fast track product development needs by channel in the region in which they reside

• Ability to build data files using Excel, Access, CSV, Text, and XML files.

Job Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.

Experience/Knowledge:
Requires 4-6 years of professional experience and strong competency with the various tools, systems, or procedures required to accomplish the job. Solid knowledge of principles, concepts, and theories in Supply Chain Management and other related areas. Applies broader knowledge of industry standards/practices to assignments.
