Helly Hansen, a leading manufacturer of high performance outdoor clothing, is looking for a motivated, creative, “self starter” US Marketing Specialist with experience in the outdoor industry. You will work at our US headquarters in Sumner, WA building the strength of the Helly Hansen brand in the US and supporting our sales and marketing teams.

You will report to the US Marketing Manager. Specific responsibilities will include:
• Drive industry-leading programs in branded and seasonal POS initiatives, with ownership of how the Helly Hansen brand appears on the shop floor of our specialty retail partners
• Create rich social media initiatives with our partners
• Work with our sales reps to develop best-in-class sell in format, both at regional shows and showrooms
• Coordinate the Helly Hansen fixture program and developing large window graphics or wraps for top specialty locations each season
• Plan, grow, and own the Viking influencer program – communicating with key shop staff to drive on floor sell through
• Coordinating retailer staff training and initiatives
• Develop one sheets and sales tools based on sales rep needs
• Coordinate local print of buyer’s guides
• Support central and regional social media initiatives
• Interface with sports marketing ambassadors to drive digital content
• Organize, maintain and plan the marketing sample line for PR and sports marketing use
• Assist with national trade show & US sales launch prep and execution
• Support local marketing events within the Pacific Northwest

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:
• Passion for the outdoors and the Helly Hansen brand (experience in the outdoor apparel/gear industry is preferred)
• 1-2 years of marketing experience
• Superior communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with strong work ethic and initiative
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and basic skills with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Ability to travel 15-20% (mostly within the US)
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
