We are looking for an experienced Workwear Product Manager for our North America division. This position will report to our Richmond, BC office. This talented individual will manage the product line offering that best serves the North American customer’s needs while achieving commercial sales, inventory and profitability objectives as well as be the link between the North American workwear customer and consumer and product development/management in Norway.

We provide a friendly, casual environment, competitive pay ($85,000 - $120,000), a generous product discount, and a full benefits package, including supplemental medical, vision and dental coverage, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays, and 4% RRSP contribution.

Specific responsibilities will include:
• Working closely with the Global Workwear Category Director to ensure North American needs are covered within the line planning process including:
o Comprehensive understanding of the North American Workwear market, key competition and certification requirements for Canadian and US products
o Liaise with the Workwear Category Director to ensure Canadian and US test reports and certifications are acquired where necessary
o Identifying growth opportunities within each of the Workwear product categories
o Providing input into North American products requiring certification
o Giving input to non-certified product briefs to help maximize the efficiency of the global Workwear line
o Developing and maintaining seasonal line plans with predetermined sales and GM targets
o Attending Workwear merchandising/line planning meetings as required
• Leading product presentations to selected key accounts in both Canada and US
• Supporting marketing with new product releases
• Inventory Management including:
o Leading monthly buying meetings
o Managing inventory levels relative to the seasonal forecasts
o Forecasting New Style introductions
o Developing exit plans for obsolete styles
o Adjusting forecasts based on updated customer and demand insight
• Traveling throughout North America in key selling periods
• Providing input into the development of North America Sales and marketing tools
• Supporting sales at various industry and/or vendor trade shows

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:
• Post-Secondary Degree in apparel related areas or a business degree
• 5+ years as a product manager or development experience of equal responsibility and business accountability
• Working knowledge of the Industrial and tradesman workwear industry
• Knowledge of how to translate trends and customer feedback to accelerate the product development process
• Proficiency in various computer programs including Microsoft® Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong skills in strategic planning and analysis
• Dynamic product presentation skills
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Confident point of view
• A creative aptitude
