The Breakdown:
The SEO Content Specialist will drive the creation of search-optimized content and own other content-based projects that increase the visibility of burton.com on search engines.

What You Get to Do:
! Work within our Global Search Program strategy to develop search-optimized content, support local SEO initiatives, and strengthen off-page SEO
! Manage the SEO content calendar and project queue (50+ pieces of long-form content per year)
! Support the global content team with SEO recommendations and feedback
! Local SEO: work with the global retail team and store managers to improve NAP accuracy across online directories
! Link building: network with industry publications and other relevant sites to create backlink opportunities
! Perform regular proactive keyword research (including content gap analysis) to identify opportunities for Burton's content channels
! Act as an internal resource for SEO news and updates
What You'll Bring to the Team:
! Minimum 2 years of SEO experience, either for a brand or agency
! Experience with SEO tools (Moz, Ahrefs, Alexa, etc)
! Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Data Studio, and/or other analytics tools
! Excellent skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
! A working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
! Google Analytics Individual Qualification certification preferred
! Salesforce experience a plus (Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
! Experience working with a content management system (WordPress, Wagtail, etc)
! A strong understanding of content marketing
! Excellent writing abilities and a solid portfolio of ranked content (please be prepared to share links)
! Knowledge of snowboarding and the snowboarding industry a huge plus
! Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Our HQ is based in Burlington, Vermont. We will offer relocation assistance to any candidate who is hired if they are able to move to Burlington.
If living in Burlington is not an option, we are absolutely open to candidates living in/working from other locations (in the US). In this scenario, we would expect the person hired to generally be available during eastern time zone hours.
