How does Chill achieve this?

Revolving around a core value-driven curriculum, Chill programs consist of experiential learning activities, reflection, and discussion, paired with board sport lessons. Chill's six core values provide youth with a foundation and framework for learning and growth, supported and enhanced through on-board progression and adult mentorship. Chill removes all barriers to accessing boardsports by providing participants with everything they need to get after it, at absolutely no cost. New skills gained through boardsport progression and core-value exploration are then directly applied to everyday life, challenging youth to step out of their comfort zone - both on and off their board.



What You Get to Do:

As the Reno Program Coordinator, you will be the face of Chill in your city and will immediately begin building relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve Chill's mission of inspiring youth to overcome challenges through boardsports. You will successfully run all day-to-day operations of a remote, year-round Chill site, including direct facilitation of experiential learning snowboarding, skateboarding and SUP programs.In this role, you will report to Chill's Regional Manager in West Michigan.

This position will start in September 2022, is year-round hourly/non-exempt, 30 hrs/wk, $22/hour, $34,320 annually, with benefits. Program Facilitation: (50%)

! Coordinate all aspects of program management including:

! agency recruitment

! agency application, acceptance, and onboarding process

! volunteer/mentor recruitment and onboarding

! independent contractor recruitment and onboarding

! communicating effectively with program partners during program sessions(mtn. resort, skate park, etc.)

! Facilitate Chill's experiential learning, core value-driven curriculum for varying group sizes, typically 15-45 youth per program, including creation of daily program plans, activities, and debriefs

! Organize and maintain all program paperwork and data submissions

! Engage and utilize volunteer program mentors and agency leads at each program

! Exceed the standards set in the Chill Quality Assessment (CQA)

! Administer all program performance, agency performance, and program participant evaluation processes

! Safely adhere to Chill's COVID-19 Guidelines at all times

! Represent Chill as a visible ambassador in the community



Gear Management: (15%)

! Manage, maintain, and organize program gear inventory, gear space, and storage space, including:

! seasonal cleaning and inventorying of all gear

! seasonal ordering of new/replacement gear from Chill HQ

! seasonal moving of snow gear in personal or rental vehicle to and from gear space/gear storage

! seasonal - and weekly during program - moving of skate gear in personal or rental vehicle to and from gear storage/program site

! Gear includes:

! 60+ sets of snow outerwear (and boards, boots, bindings at select sites)

! 20+ sets of skateboard equipment and safety gear



Community Engagement: (30%)



! Sustain and grow relationships with existing agencies in order to increase impact locally, deepen community/agency relations, and identify new and sustainable opportunities for partnering

! Conduct outreach for new agencies for broader partnership/collaborative opportunities, with a focus on eliminating barriers to participation

! Build partnerships with agencies, program mentors, and independent contractors through a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion, aligning with Chill's anti-racism and anti-oppression commitments to ensure that programs are actively engaged in intersectional, anti-racism and anti-oppression work

! Conduct community engagement initiatives that support ongoing connection, growth and collaboration (ie. attending community events to promote Chill, hosting appreciation events, Chill Open Houses, etc.)

! Build partnerships with local vendors to support healthy snacks for program (ie. Farmers Markets, Local grocery stores, etc.)

! Meet with Chill Reps (all-star volunteers) monthly to maximize support and community connection

Marketing and Development: (5%)

! Contribute marketing content to Chill's Marketing team for social media and website use, including high quality program photos and testimonials

! Contribute program write-ups for grant applications and reports, and connect local donors/sponsors with Chill's Development team



What you Bring to the Team:

! Work Ethic/Organization:

! Organized and self-motivated

! Experience working independently, managing time efficiently, and setting own schedule

! Proven ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and prioritize to meet goals and objectives

! Location/Boardsports:

! Currently lives in the city of hire or has lived experience in that community

! Ability to gainintroductory boardsport skills with basic understanding of equipment maintenance (Chill will provide instruction/equipment for learning new skills/sports, basic equipment training, and progression opportunities for sport specific certifications)

! Youth Experience:

! 1+ years of professional experience working with youth in various settings

! Experience working with youth in at least 2 different settings (ie. youth agency, probationary programs, rehab facilities, schools, outdoor education, experiential education, etc.)

! Experience working with youth of diverse identities and backgrounds

! Experience managing and leading groups of at least 20 youth
