The Breakdown:â?¯Â
The Data Analyst role is a key part of the Enterprise Analytics team and primary task is to transform data to improve the value of the Burton's business. You will be responsible for report development and administration, building data models and transforming data for analytics & business intelligence. This role requires strong business analytics skills and the ability to collaborate directly with various teams to improve processes and enhance reporting capabilities in an ever-changing business environment. Strong technical skills combined with business acumen is mandatory in order to translate business requirements into sound BI solutions. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys trouble shooting and offers solutions. The individual will need to manage multiple priorities and keep stakeholders informed on progress.

! Develop, manage, and support business intelligence & enterprise data analytics solutions (Power BI, Infor Analytics, or like systems).
! Work with various stakeholders across the organization to create, validate, and maintain dashboards and interactive visual reports in BI systems.
! Help translate business requirements into reporting/analytics requirements.
! Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources, databases/data systems, and filter/clean data as needed.
! Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
! Build reports that allow content and distribution to encompass total organization and drilldowns to specific entities as needed.
! Design, publish and maintain data models with multiple interrelated tables and connections with other systems.
! Maintain functionality and relevance of reports; trouble shoot, and problem solve as issues arise.
! Ensure report output is validated with business partners and aligned with company data governance processes.
! Work with users and team members at all levels to elevate existing reports and reporting capabilities and report distribution.
! Stay up to date around relevant reporting tools and help implement relevant tools where required.
! Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring to The Team:
! Preferred working experience as an IT Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst.
! 3+ years designing and developing reports and dashboards using Business Intelligence software solutions (or similar technical job/education).
! Superior understanding of Power BI, Infor Analytics, or similar BI platforms. Technical background or education strongly preferred.
! Technical expertise regarding data models, data mining and segmentation techniques.
! Be able to write and execute measures, queries, and functions in Power BI/Infor Analytics.
! Understanding of the testing and validation process of BI reports.
! Ability to work very collaboratively in a team environment, mentor, and be mentored.
! Be able to manage your time efficiently and work on a Scrum team.
! Basic SQL skills (queries on relational databases).
! Strong Excel skills (experience migrating data from Excel to Power BI or other BI platforms strongly preferred).
! Understand business requirements in BI context and convert data into meaningful insights.
! Understanding of the theory of visual design.
