The Breakdown: The SEO/SEM Strategist is a core position on the newly developed Performance Marketing Team within Global Consumer Marketing. This new team consists of Paid Media, Search and Retention Marketing and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of our acquisition and retention marketing efforts to achieve targets and overall business objectives. The SEO/SEM Strategist will develop and champion their SEO and SEM global strategies through training, creating POVs and general knowledge sharing across Burton on a regular basis. An ideal candidate is someone who thrives on data and performance, is detail-oriented and has the ability to identify patterns, develop insights and build growth plans. They will have an excellent understanding of current best practices, as well as where the industry is headed. The candidate excels at analyzing data, leading initiatives to improve performance, and working across a variety of teams within Burton to implement those strategies. What You Get To Do:
⏵ Collaborate with Content and Social teams to create quality brand friendly content optimized for SEO and SEM strategies
⏵ Collaborate with Design, Development, and Direct-to-Consumer team to ensure our websites meet current and future SEO best practices
⏵ Continue the development of our SEO and SEM strategies globally
⏵ Work within our Global SEO Strategy to implement on-page and off-page SEO updates including changes to content, design, backlinks, NAP placement, and more
⏵ Educate others on SEO and SEM industry updates and news by holding monthly meetings
⏵ Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting with KPIs using tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Data Studio, and more
⏵ Manage various SEO and SEM Tools as well as the relationships with the client success teams for those tools
⏵ Ensure local markets are abiding by global standards and best practices What You'll Bring:
⏵ Minimum 5 years of SEO experience, either for a brand or client side
⏵ Minimum 5 years of SEM experience including Google AdWords and Bing Ads, either for a brand or client side
⏵ Experience with SEO and SEM Tools, including but not limited to Moz, Optmyzer, Ahrefs, Alexa, etc.
⏵ Experience with Google Analytics or similar analytics tools, and Data Studio Dashboard
⏵ Excellent skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
⏵ Familiarity with Segment and Google Tag Manager
⏵ Experience with Amazon SEO and the Amazon advertising platform are a plus
⏵ Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
⏵ Google Analytics Certification and Google AdWords Certification required
⏵ Familiarity with SQL, Python, and Google Big Query are a plus
⏵ Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills and strong project management skill with an ability to manage ones self
⏵ Strong presentation skills
