As a core member of the Burton Marketing Creative Environments and Experiences squad, the Digital Art Director is responsible for leading high-level work that translates brand objectives into innovative solutions. Key to this role is the ability to conceptualize an idea and envision how to communicate it in a way that is authentic to Burton's identity and brand values. The Digital Art Director will drive large bodies of work from concept to completion, ensuring excellence, consistency, and quality of design thinking throughout the creative process.
In this role, you will run large scale, cross-functional design programs working in collaboration with marketing strategists, producers, creative leaders, DTC, developers, UX, writers, and fellow designers to develop and execute ideas across all channels. A deep knowledge of and passion for design, digital, typography, motion, messaging, storytelling, and the overall brand experience are paramount to success in this role. You will inspire our creative team to find opportunities within challenges and drive a consumer-centric point of view in all bodies of work.

⏵ Familiarity with UX design prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, etc.
⏵ Partner with strategists and producers to achieve shared goals.
⏵ Expertise in the use of Adobe Creative Suite.
⏵ Manage feedback and criticism.
⏵ Generate suggestions for improving work, solving problems, and resolving conflicts.
⏵ Manage the team's day-to-day creative needs.
⏵ Ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met on time, on budget, and on-brand.
⏵ Seek ways to improve process and capabilities of the creative team.
⏵ Orient and assign work to the team based on timing and skillsets.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience leading a team, with expert-level discipline and knowledge in the areas of creative standards, digital design, graphic design, UX, concepting, typography, color theory, composition, illustration, desktop publishing, and multimedia content development.
