Americas Brand Marketing Manager, Surf & Snow

The Americas Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for leading all sports marketing initiatives in region, including but not limited to events, athletes, content and the go to market process to ensure alignment against brand and product initiatives while contributing to drive the business and culture.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:
! Plan and execute regional and global platforms within the Americas(CAN, US, MX, CASA)
! Onboard, foster and manage athlete program(s)
! Strategically plan regional owned and partnered content marketing plans
! Lead GTM process for Surf and Snow sports marketing within the region.
! Plan and manage regional Surf and Snow budget
! Partner with cross border marketing teams in CAN, Mexico and CASA
! Partner cross functionally with regional brand comms and channel teams
! Partner cross functionally with global sports marketing and product marketing teams
! Lead and manage any direct reports

How you will do it:
! Develop event strategy, tactics and oversee execution of regional/global event platforms
! Closely monitor key communities within region to identify and sign up and coming athlete talent to drive influence, trend and culture.
! Strategically plan regionally owned content to compliment and balance the global sports marketing calendar
! Work with media partners and creative network to enable partnered content in support of sports marketing position
! Lead GTM process for surf and snow by providing strategic feedback to global team on behalf of region. Cascade final marketing plans to region and ensure alignment and execution.
! Plan regional fiscal year budget and ensure monthly tracking and reporting
! Support and inform CAN, MX and CASA teams on all sports marketing plans and initiatives. Maintain monthly touch base with regional updates.
! Partner with brand comms teams to execute sports marketing initiatives through PR, earned and paid media
! Partner with channel teams to drive strategic brand marketing and business at wholesale and DTC
! Work cross functionally with global sports marketing and product marketing teams to execute any global event, content or product marketing initiatives as it relates to surf and snow.
! Manage Marketing Coordinator as direct report while maintaining mid-year and final year performance reviews against OGSTM

! Meet and exceed marketing plans KPIs for any regional or globally executed project
! Contribute to overall Vans business growth specific to the surf and snow categories
! Drive brand affinity with our target demographic
! Deliver against yearly goals and OGSTM

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5 years minimum

Educational Position Requirements:

A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

! Ability to build strategic and compelling marketing plans
! Strong understanding of Surf and Snow market demands, culture and trends

! Time Management and well organized
! Proficient in Microsoft office PPT, Outlook, Word
! Familiar with Smartsheet, Keynote
! Comfortable presenting to an audience
