About the job

As the Manager of Retail Merchandising Solutions you will play an important role within our Vans Global Digital team to support & drive our business through retail merchandising technology & processes. Serving at the intersection of the DTC merchandising team and our VF Digital Technology organization, this role will be central in both driving the delivery of new tools & capabilities, as well as governing & supporting our existing technology portfolio. Your experience in retail merchandising, together with your understanding of technology & processes – and overall ability to think conceptually, problem solve practically, and work collaboratively – will set you up for success in this role.

You will report into the Director of Omnichannel & Retail Technology and be a key player on our journey to become consumer centric, hyper digital and DTC-led.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:
!
Partner with our DTC merchandising team to identify opportunities for new tools, capabilities and overall process improvements and put together the analysis & business case to support the necessary investment; contribute to, and influence, the VF Digital Technology roadmap in the retail merchandising space.

!
Serve as the Vans lead / project manager on the implementation of new tools, capabilities & processes – liaising across the various Vans stakeholders and interfacing the with respective leads from the VF Digital Technology team. This includes aligning project timelines & stakeholders, serving as a super user, performing testing, and delivering training.

!
In partnership with the VF Digital Technology team, govern & support our existing retail merchandising and in-store technology portfolio by: (1) Facilitating ticket creation & resolution, (2) identifying & prioritizing needed change requests, (3) coordinating system updates/enhancements, (4) maintaining training materials and (5) serving as an overall expert to support the DTC merchandising team for ad hoc queries.

Develop and maintain reporting and analytics capabilities to support Omnichannel operations, including but not limited to, measuring KPI’s and providing data-driven insights to support decision making across the organization.

As a member of a broader team responsible for omnichannel & in-store solutions, support additional projects and tasks outside of the retail merchandising space, where needed.

Build relationships with key stakeholders in the DTC merchandising team and VF Digital Technology organization.

Establish clear communication & processes that work for you and your stakeholders.

What success looks like:

By serving as the central point of contact between the DTC Merchandising team and VF Digital Technology organization, driving clearer communication which delivers greater efficiency within the organization.

Timely resolution of incidents & tickets, as well as delivery of critical change requests, ensuring our DTC Merchandising team can drive our business results.

!
Ensuring the needs of the Vans DTC business are well represented when it comes to VF Digital Technology roadmap and annual priority & budget setting process.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 6+ years

Educational Position Requirements:

A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
