Quality Assurance Lead

3rd Shift: Friday - Sunday; 7:00a.m. - 7:30p.m.

This position leads associates in their respective operation areas of Quality Assurance for Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company during their shift.  This person will be required to be visible and vocal within their department, floor time in your department with all associates is critical.  This person will fill in for any associate in the operation during their absence and will be responsible for delegating responsibilities out to the appropriate associates.  Strong communication between this position and with other departments of their shifts and the Supervisors and Managers will be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

The primary responsibility of this position is to lead floor associates in the processing and performance of the day to day work activities in QA. Also, the lead will maintain a safe work environment within the Fort Worth Distribution Center. In reporting to the QA Manager, this position will support the associates in their day to day duties directed toward timely completion and service of customer orders.  The job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
! To hold the highest level of professionalism and integrity in every action performed on behalf of Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co.
! To use good judgment whenever necessary to ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. and its associates
! To ensure to abide by company rules, policies, and procedures
! To help provide clear and effective communications to all Associates, QA Supervisor and QA Manager
! To maintain a positive attitude within Operations
! To ensure associates are trained in their respective operational processes
! To help ensure all operation area functions are conducted in a manner that promotes the highest level of accuracy and quality
! To help ensure OSHA regulations are followed and to maintain a clean, safe organized work area
! To take ownership in the success of the overall operation
! To get a clear understanding of the day to day objectives from the QA Supervisor & help associates to accomplish them
! To set goals that will meet or exceed set objectives
! To check email/respond to emails timely
! To lead associates based on work flow
! To do a frequent walkthrough in their department ensuring the area is always clean, any concerns are corrected, and damages are reported

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

The Lead is preferred 2 to 3 year of experience in high paced volume processing warehousing and distribution operations. The individual must possess the ability to learn the following tools: Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, NGC and WCS. The individual has demonstrated leadership competency.  The individual must be able to multitask and be able to work under and meet deadlines.  The individual must demonstrate good organization and strong leadership skills in previous positions.  The individual possesses strong desire to provide high-quality service to end customer/consumer.  The individual’s ability to help provide input to develop/implement efficiency programs to improve productivity and lower costs.  The individual possesses strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.  The individual is familiar with engineered standards programs.

Language Skills

Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to be able to communicate with all Management.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to derive and utilize simple mathematical problems.  This requirement is used to understand their department’s performance reports and hourly activity within their department.
