Sr. Director, Strategic Accounts: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

We need someone who is a visionary with a stream of innovative ideas that will transform the action sports industry. In this role, this individual is responsible for driving the Go To Market (GTM) process across the US sales team. He / She will ensure that strategic apparel and footwear initiatives are executed to the highest standards. This individual is responsible for leading and coaching the strategic key account team in order to develop a mutual and beneficial long-term partnership with our strategic accounts. He / She is responsible for delivering brand and financial goals for our strategic key accounts in line with those across US Wholesale.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Initiate the Go-To-Market (GTM) processes throughout U.S. Wholesale with a specific focus on key strategic accounts. Utilize SKO and GTM 0, communicate needs of business that support long term growth plans. Develop and implement policy regarding product segmentation for OMU/SMU distribution within strategic accounts across all channels and categories of distribution. Establish long term strategic growth plans for select accounts that ensure sustainable growth across all wholesale channels and accounts. Work with cross functional partners to ensure appropriate allocation of resources (Human/Financial) within strategic account base. Partner with global counterparts to establish best practices among global and cross boarder accounts.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 12+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
A Bachelors degree in Business or related field and a minimum of 10 years general management experience in the Sales/Retail field or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience working in the Sales/Retail industry.
Masters Degree Preferred.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
Travel by air and overnight, as required 50% amount of time.
Lifting and/or bending 20lbs amount of weight.
