Senior Designer Environmental Design: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As the senior environmental designer, you will bring exceptional design skills and a portfolio of innovative design solutions with an emphasis on brand storytelling and product marketing in the retail space. You will bring enthusiasm for utilizing high-level designs, an interest in installation art and new technology for the our retail space. You will be a part of a creative-led team comprised of environmental designers and art directors. In this position, you will be instrumental in creating and developing overall design concepts, formulating design presentations, and providing creative and process leadership through all phases of projects, centered around retail and wholesale environments. You will deliver high quality performance and intimate working knowledge of the brand ad market is expected.

How You Will Make a Difference:
Lead presentations with strong verbal and visual execution, while clearly communicating design vision.
Lead, delegate, manage, and drive multiple design projects from conceptualization to finished product, adhering to calendar deadlines.
Mentor and manage designers through clear and consistent coaching and development.
Collaborate with creative team as well as other department members on larger creative initiatives.
Create and develop overall design concepts around retail and wholesale environments. Introduce new technology to our retail space.

Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years professional experience including proven track record of leading the design of both retail and wholesale executions.

Educational/ Position Requirements:
A Bachelors degree in interior design, environmental design or related field.
Ability to use 2D/3D software, including Sketch Up,AutoCAD, KeyShot, PhotoShop, In Design, Illustrator, and Keynote.
Emphasis on brand and product storytelling through retail design The ideal candidate has a wealth of experience designing store windows and in-store displays.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Outstanding presentation skills.
Strong leadership, management and mentoring skills.
Utilize a variety of design elements to articulate high-level, impactful artistic vision.
Deep knowledge of graphic design and typography.
Fluency in current advertising, design, and fashion trends expected.
Knowledge of architecture and construction.
Ability to read construction documents is required.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
Travel by air and overnight, as required 15% amount of time.
