Elevated Retail Visual Merchandise Manager: Become the Newest Member of the VANS Family
A select group of stores have been identified as Elevated Retail in North America. Our elevated retail locations have unique floormaps, fixture layouts and special product. As the Visual Merchandise Manager for elevated retail, you will be managing our visual perspective within these locations while paying special attention to localization, regionality, and any other specific visual display needs to make them unique to their location and clientele. You will be instrumental in creating and overseeing the visual direction given to these stores, relating to windows, product placement, graphics, video content, and more. Over the last two years, this category of Retail stores has grown to what it is today with two new boutiques, three Brand Showcases (comparable to a flagship) and additional elevated street locations. In the next five years, this category of stores is estimated to continue to grow and will represent our most aspirational expression of the brand.

How You Will Make a Difference:
Develop strong relationships with the District Managers and Visual support of the locations to ensure there are constant open lines of communication identifying opportunities and challenges.
Create a calendar for visual guides and execution due dates.
Develop templates and identify visual needs for each store so they are getting the exact direction needed catered to their specific location.
Work closely with the buyers and allocators to have a constant conversation about the right product being there, inventory levels, and needs for transfers, etc.
Identify which locations would benefit from added elevated storytelling and create a calendar that would map that out based on the GTM process of each season.
Identify how the Marketing will translate to these stores by partnering closely with our Marketing and Creative team.
Think creatively in how elevated stories could come to life in these stores by pulling inspiration, sourcing materials and thinking outside of the box.
Partner with the Retail Marketing team when there are scheduled events in these locations to assist with any visual aspects.
Travel to each location on a consistent basis to understand the physical space, clientele, and continually develop the onsite team.
Travel to markets of the locations for the benefits of competitive shopping.

Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 5-7 years

Educational/ Position Requirements:
A Bachelors degree in Visual Merchandising or related field and a minimum of 5 years general management experience in the Visual Merchandising field or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Experience working in the Retail industry
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
Travel by air and overnight, as required 30% amount of time.
Lifting and/or bending 50lbs. amount of weight.
