Vans Strategic Account Merchandiser North America: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As the Footwear, Apparel & Accessory Product Merchandiser, you are responsible for supporting and executing the overall strategic direction for Key Accounts through product line management. This includes concept/product briefing; creating cross-functional and, in some cases, cross-boader alignment, business analysis, deep consumer connectivity, and understanding the competitive landscape. You will contribute by identifying key market trends and patterns, building seasonal line plans, and being the link between global category managers and key account sales managers ensuring the global line reflects the accounts business needs. In order to be successful, you must be adaptable, a non-linear thinker, and have high emotion intelligence.

How You Will Make a Difference:
Inform and support the strategic account merchandising strategy for the North America region. Develop seasonal product merchandising plans by key account.

Understand and analyze market trends, shifts, and downturns, and provide feedback to Global Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to continuously improve product plans and Go to Market (GTM) process. Work closely with sales managers to learn key account business and build necessary relationships with account leadership, buyers, etc. Drive SKU efficiciency on balance with long-term global product strategies. Evaluate current business and GTM processes to identify opportunities to include key account feedback. Attend key account meetings, trade shows, market visits for presentations, and trend/market research trips. Encourage and maintain a tight feedback loop amongst cross-functional partners. Understand and embrace industry, consumer, and culture, including our marketplace positioning.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role

Skills:
Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, and problem solving skills.
Comfortable in self-starter environment.
Basic computer skills Microsoft Office, PowerPoint/Keynote.
Exercises strong interpersonal skills across internal and external partners.
Ability to work in an open environment with product team and cross-functional partners.
Computer proficiency including specific job-required applications.
Follows through with all tasks, assignments and job duties in a timely manner.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
Travel by air and overnight, as required 20% amount of time.
Willing and able to work additional hours if needed.
Bend, lift, open and move products up to 25lbs amount of weight, depending on need.
