Direct to Consumer Business Engagement Lead: Become the Newest Member of the VF Family
The Global Business Technology Direct-to-Consumer Business Engagement Lead aligns with VFs Global Brand Direct to Consumer subject matter experts to understand the capabilities desired and to ensure timely execution across the direct-to-consumer function within the Consumer & Marketplace domain.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Serve as the primary point of engagement and strategic partner for the global brands direct-to-consumer business.
Advocates brands direct-to-consumer business needs to shape technology capabilities and services.
Manage internal customer expectations with respect to direct-to-consumer services, identifying gaps between customer needs and technology capabilities, and work to find innovative solutions to those gaps.
Understand the current direct-to-consumer technology landscape and evangelize, leverage, exploit those technologies to support our brands strategic needs.
Collaborates with technology capability enablers, product owners and project managers on initiatives in alignment with business strategic needs.
Be an effective liaison between direct-to-consumer business and technology teams.
Provide business technology thought leadership and partnership.
Be a trusted advisor with our business/brand leadership teams in order to provide end-to-end direct-to-consumer technology consultation.
Negotiate and articulate a unified strategic technology roadmap, including vetting alternatives that balance business objectives, cost, risks and other factors.
Skills for Success:
10+ years experience in business technology consulting or direct to consumer retail business technology engagement role.
8+ years working knowledge of digital technology such as IBM WebSphere Commerce eCommerce system and/or Adobe Experience Manager content management system.
4+ years working knowledge of order management system such as IBM Sterling Order Management.
4+ years retail point-of-sale systems and/or other retail technologies and strategies.
Experience working for a global company with multiple brands.
Must be able to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
Must work closely with others across organizational boundaries.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence within a global / multi-brand matrix organization.
Ability to build connections and establish credibility quickly with key stakeholders internally and externally (vendors, partners).
Proven experience in a role equivalent to business technology consultant in a digital commerce and/or brick & mortar retail environment.
Demonstrated senior-level abilities driving agile culture, process improvement and evangelizing direct-to-consumer application capabilities.
Ability to collaborate with business senior leadership at a professional level.
Thorough understanding of digital commerce / brick and mortar technologies.
Ability to comprehend and deconstruct complex direct-to-consumer retail technologies to serve business strategic needs.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
Travel by air and overnight, as required 25% amount of time.
