Vans Footwear Merchandiser Manager North America: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

As the Footwear Product Merchandiser your merchandising and product strategies will serve as a support for our North America region for all Family/Moderate footwear categories. You will create meaningful relationship with cross functional partners as you are the primary conduit between global product category managers and regional wholesale sales directors. You have the important responsibility to develop product assortment plans for all North America key accounts in partnership with wholesale sales directors each season. You will create and execute analysis of the product category as well as communicate market trends, results and behaviors. Your projects and strategies will drive product demand and segmentation for the North America region.

How You Will Make a Difference:

Develops product merchandising plans by key account for all Family/Moderate footwear categories for the North America region. Provides input into category direction on behalf of region and consistently evaluates for relevancy and new opportunities on a regional basis. Works closely with sales directors to learn key account business and build necessary relationships. Evaluates every footwear SKU for efficiency and value, both short- and long-term. Evaluates current business processes to identify improvements and leverage infrastructure. Attends key account meetings, trade shows, market visits for presentations, relationship building, and trend/market research. Encourages and maintains constant communication and feedback amongst cross functional partners. Work with Vans retail to maximize brand/category presentation and sales. Partners closely with sales organization to provide product to reach Regional revenue targets. Understands and embraces industry, consumer, and culture including Vans competitive positioning.

! Computer proficiency including specific job-required applications.
! Follows through with all tasks, assignments and job duties in a timely manner.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
! Travel by air and overnight, as required 20% amount of time.
! Willing and able to work additional hours if needed.
! Bend, lift, open and move products up to 25lbs amount of weight, depending on need.
