Executive Administrative Assistant (Americas): Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
Vans is a leading action sports footwear, apparel and accessories company that has an extensive history of manufacturing excellence. In this position, you are responsible for administrative support for a dynamic group of individuals in a fast pace environment. You are an administrative individual contributor who will apply what you learn and perform your duties to initiate action and facilitate team success while supporting the Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Merchandising and our General Manager/Vice President of Americas.
How You Will Make a Difference:
You will be the face of the department and provide clerical support such as filing and organizing, faxing, sorting and distributing departmental mail, ordering supplies, internet research, calendar management, assisting employees, correspondence, making copies, travel arrangements, expense reports, answering, screening, and returning phone calls, etc. Coordinate meetings from small office meetings to larger off-site meetings exemplifying high level of executive presence. Your diverse experiences and background enable you to provide a unique perspective to fuel our global growth. Additionally, you are inclusive and value differing points of view. You will have the opportunity to interface with corporate and brand functions in multiple offices and regions. You will create and distribute presentations and reports for the Americas department. You will monitor adherence of the corporate credit card policy. Assist with card set up and approvals in Concur. You will assist in managing and tracking travel expenses and corporate expenses. You will exercise an entrepreneurial spirit by providing research and support for special projects within the department.
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years
⏵ College-level education preferred for broad understanding of different principles and concepts as it relates to reporting and communication purposes.
⏵ Ability to successfully communicate with all levels of management.
⏵ Detail oriented and display discretion with sensitive information.
⏵ Ability to organize information and tasks.
⏵ Aptitude and willingness to learn and try new things.
⏵ System savvy with strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
⏵ Maintains high level of confidential information.
⏵ Demonstrates sense of urgency and follow-through on all assignments.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
⏵ Willing and able to work additional or flexible hours when needed
⏵ Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 25lbs, depending on need
