Sr. Visual Merchandiser, Retail: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
As a Sr. Merchandiser you will be working closely with the Buying and Allocations teams to set the most profitable floorsets for all North America VANS Retail stores. By partnering with the Visual Merchandising Manager and the Sr. Visual Merchandising Manager, you will ensure that key marketing stories are told through your visual floorsets each month. Time will be spent strategizing new and innovative ways to create the most enticing displays in the market. As VANS launches new store types and tests new visual strategies, your creative input will be key in the success of the Division. You will play a crucial role in producing novel and unique concepts for merchandise presentations from concept through implementation. As a Sr. Merchandiser, part of your responsibility, includes influencing the broader VM team. An important aspect of this role will be having the ability to think outside of the box and participate in developing new strategies for new Retail store concepts as the Retail landscape continues to evolve.
How You Will Make a Difference:
⏵ Manage the monthly floorset process and ensure visual direction supports the overall companys marketing strategy.
⏵ Partner with Visual Merchandising Manager on seasonal merchandising strategies and make sure brand initiatives are being incorporated into monthly floorsets.
⏵ Create and continue to evolve new visual presentations and display techniques for various areas in VANS retail stores in order to align with marketing and/or buying initiatives.
⏵ Understand the various retail store attributes and buying strategies and ensure visual direction and communication is effective for our diverse group of retail stores.
⏵ Takes a leadership role in planning and executing visual strategies across various categoires.
⏵ Communicate and maintain visual merchandising standards and guidelines for all categories represented in Vans retail stores.
⏵ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in order to complete tasks in a timely, consistent, and organized manner.
⏵ Ability to problem solve and think creatively in order to achieve cross functional satisfaction and partnership in visual presentations.

Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
⏵ A Bachelors degree in Visual Merchandising/Marketing or related field and a minimum of 5 years general management experience in a corporate Visual Merchandising field or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
⏵ Effective verbal and written communication skills
⏵ Experience working in the Retail fashion industry
⏵ Bachelors Degree Preferred
⏵ Experience with Creative Cloud Suite: specifically, Photoshop and InDesign.
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
⏵ Travel by air and overnight, as required 25% of time
⏵ Lifting and/or bending 1-25 pounds
