Loyalty Platform Manager (Product Manager): Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family

As Loyalty Platform Manager you will be responsible for managing the implementation of new features and capabilities to the program. In this role, you will manage the product strategy and execution for the Vans Family loyalty program. You will work closely with partner teams that include user experience design, business development, marketing program management, and engineering to bring new products to market. Within Vans Consumer Lifecycle Management department, the loyalty team is responsible for all aspects of the Vans Family loyalty program. The program empowers us to better understand our consumers and in turn enables us to deliver more relevant brand experiences. This exciting opportunity plays a critical role in the on-going evolution of the loyalty program and member experiences across Vans. You will gather business requirements for high-impact projects on the loyalty roadmap, coordinate with owners of other technology roadmaps (such as eCommerce or store technology), proactively identify solutions to potential obstacles and ensure the projects successful completion. This opportunity will partner closely with key business functions, such stores, eCommerce, marketing, technology, and external vendors. The Project Manager currently supports the program in North America but may expand by taking on global responsibilities over time.

How You Will Make a Difference:
! Represent and advocate for the Vans CLM organization in the implementation of loyalty and related technology initiatives.
! Manage the capability roadmap for the Vans Family loyalty program and define new products and services that drive engagement with the mobile app and web experience.
! Coordinate with key technology roadmap owners in other functions to ensure the loyalty roadmaps is adequately represented and minimally disruptive to the day-to-day business.
! Leverage insights to drive voice of the customer into the creation of new products and on-going development of product enhancements or service.
! Evaluate the business opportunity and application of emerging technologies, generating buy-in for the product vision with leadership and partner teams.
! Translate customer experiences into clearly defined product requirements, managing prioritization and trade-offs to ensure delivery of a great customer experience.
! Develop user flows and wireframes to illustrate expected front end consumer experiences that will be enabled by backend technology.
! Document department reporting needs, coordinate with other business initiative leaders.
! Ensure thorough and timely communication between key stakeholders (e.g. senior management, business owners, technology partners), communicate project status, raise issues as needed, organize meetings, align calendars, etc.
! Determine future resource needs to facilitate timely execution of work stream initiatives.
! Participate in sprint planning prioritization for additional capabilities and enhancements.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ year

Educational/ Position Requirements:
! At least 5 years' broad business experience, preferably in the implementation of global business project initiatives, with at least 4 years of experience in product management.
! A Bachelors degree in Business, Technology or similar, Masters degree preferred.
! Experience working in the retail/digital industry, especially in retail enterprise systems implementation. Experience managing mobile app evolution a plus.
! Experience defining new user-friendly products for consumer websites and/or mobile applications.
! Experience working with cloud-based CRM and loyalty platforms.
! Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules.
! Proven track record working with Project & Change Management theory and methodologies in regional & global project delivery (preferably in a retail organization).
! Consulting background is a preferred. Internal consultant/project manager experience also applies.
! Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set goals, and prioritize tasks.
! Experience managing vendors and external consultancy firms.
! Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with local and remote key partners.
! Ability to identify dependencies between new and existing technology and business processes.
! Strong problem-solving skills, ability to take a new perspective on using existing solutions.
! Adept at identifying high-impact issues and risks to escalate for executive review.
! Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including refined public speaking skills to manage challenging cross-functional situations effectively. Experience in presenting to and influencing senior leadership.
! Experience in large group facilitation of workshops and working sessions.
! Ability to lead and influence others within a matrix organization.
! Proficiency with project-based tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as others (e.g. Jira, Smart Sheets, wikis).
! PMP Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is preferred.
! Affinity with youth culture, action sports, music, art, and fashion a plus.
