Senior Art Director

In this role, you will formulate concepts, execute and design against them for integrated campaigns across print, film, outdoor and digital. To deliver high quality performance, intimate working knowledge of the brand and the streetwear and fashion lifestyle space is expected. You will bring fluency and expertise in graphic design skill sets such as creating visual concepts and storytelling, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and engage with our consumers. You will help define and steer how Vans adapts to the ever-changing modern digital landscape to meet the youth audience where they are and create meaningful engagement with our brand. You will have control over the creative development process and are well versed in the production of it. On a regular basis, you will collaborate with your counterparts in Digital, Environmental Design and Product to make sure creative delivers on needs for retail and packaging.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:
! You will own both seasonal product stories and ongoing, multi-season campaigns.
! Work with Integrated teams to develop creative concepts and executions of assigned product(s).
! Lead photo/video shoots, both product and on-talent, including prep, styling, and editing.

How you will do it:
! Partner with marketing counterparts, reviewing and developing creative brief to assure alignment.
! Present design concepts to senior leadership in Creative and Marketing determining the scope of projects and delivering the desired storytelling.
! Your diverse experiences and background enable you to provide a unique perspective to fuel our global growth. Additionally, you are inclusive and value differing points of view. You hire, develop and support a team that reflects our global consumer population.

What success looks like:
! Play a lead role in shaping how Vans shows up in the elevated fashion and streetwear space, help drive relevancy, and push the boundaries for our brand.
! Deliver digitally-centric campaign thinking that connects with and engages our youth audience in meaningful ways.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 7+ years

Educational Position Requirements:

A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
! What we expect you already know:! Fluent in graphic design skill sets such as creating visual concepts and storytelling, using computer software or by hand.
! Current on fashion/streetwear industry trends and technology as well as broader youth culture. Film production and digital campaign experience. Experience managing junior creative staff.

! What we will teach you:! Experience in the sneaker category.
