Jr. Project Manager, Creative Service

As the Junior Project Manager on our Creative Services team, you will be leading NORA regional client engagement throughout the creative development process. You have an understanding of the Vans brand DNA and an ability to manage high levels of project complexity. You must always push norms in order to tap into the imagination found in all aspects of our creative team. How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do: Work closely with the North America Regional Marketing and Merchandising teams and serve as their main point of contact as the liaison with the Creative department. Receive and distill marketing briefs so that a clear understanding across the client and creative department is reached prior to creative work inception. Build and manage project plans that enable creative development and delivery while concurrently partnering with the client to provide transparency to job progress.

How you will do it: Document project process, including utilizing email, Smart Sheets, and internal tracking tools for status updates, scheduling, and running meetings. Manage the coordination and assignment of resources to creative projects, accounting for client needs and creative skill sets. Coordinate internal kick-offs and reviews as required to ensure that creative work delivers to the client needs as stated in the brief. Utilize internal toolsfrom workflow tracking to asset managementto ensure that working with the Creative Department is clear and easy.

What success looks like: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while recognizing dynamic and shifting priorities, and managing schedules and deliverables accordingly. Proactively identifying potential obstacles and taking preemptive action to address accordingly.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years

Educational Position Requirements:
!
Bachelors degree or equivalent years of related experience: 3+ years with a clear track record of increasing responsibility

!
Experience working in creative environments, including either in-house or external agency experience required.

What we expect you already know:

Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office programs

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Strong written and verbal creative skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Analytical skills

What we will teach you:

Thorough understanding of the role of Creative deliverables in the Vans retail environment. Print production processes and pre-press considerations. Digital file management, sharing, and archiving.
