Director Global Production
Vans Director of Global Production is the translator and communicator of footwear and apparel product strategies into the supply chain, to obtain the resources needed to meet product development and merchandising requirements. This leader is responsible for global/regional production allocation decisions, balancing speed and cost tradeoffs, deconflicting capacity constraints, and facilitating cross-functional alignment. The Director leads multi-horizon planning (MHP) ensuring long range supply chain strategies support long-term commercial objectives. MHP responsibilities include process definition, synchronization, and creation of long-term supply chain capabilities, as well as leading major initiatives as a project manager. This leader leverages the global production team in the successful execution of key cross-functional initiatives by coaching and developing team members, providing influence and successful cross-functional collaboration.
How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do:
Execute regional production allocation decisions, while managing speed and cost trade-off decisions, with a clear understanding of regional needs to achieve commercial objectives.
Develop three to five-year multi-horizon supply chain plans, providing data driven analysis of strategic options to support future business requirements with new supply chain capabilities.
Lead assigned Brand/Supply Chain initiatives and/or process improvements to drive operational efficiency.
How you will do it:
Engage in the Go-To-Market process with brand and product teams to ensure effective and proactive identification of sourcing needs.
Collaborate with sourcing offices to ensure production capacities, product make capabilities and lead times meet brand needs to achieve growth and business plan targets.
Partner with brand leadership, sourcing and manufacturing partners, and VF supply chain strategy team members to identify, create and implement innovative performance improvement projects.
What success looks like:
Global Vans production requirements are met thereby successfully supporting global and regional revenue and profit objectives.
Crafts and communicates a cohesive supply chain strategy developed with VF supply chain partners which defines necessary resources to support strategic commercial plans.
Discovers and implements innovative initiatives which improve service, cost, speed and/or quality.
Develops and leads a high-performing team by establishing performance expectations, facilitating skill and competency development, coaching and mentoring Vans team members.

Educational Position Requirements:
A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
What we expect you already know:
A clear understanding of end to end supply chain operations, combined with solid business acumen.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Familiarity with global trade, tariff and duty implications, and the importance of appropriate regional empathy in the conduct of global operations.
Skills of collaboration and influence, able to help others embrace change by building trust and confidence.
Leadership of a global team, with an ability to mentor, coach and develop.
Ability to read, research, understand, assess and problem solve by leveraging analytical and reasoning skills.
