Sr. Manager Global Product Marketing Strategy (Lifestyle)

As Senior Manager, Global Product Marketing Strategy (Lifestyle), your global marketing acumen, cultural connectivity and personal creativity will be put to use in enabling our audience to further connect with the uniqueness and authenticity of the Vans brand worldwide, ultimately driving our strategic global brand and business objectives. You will be leveraging targeted consumer insights to develop emotionally compelling messages, oversee the development of integrated global marketing strategies and empower regional counterparts in the execution of breakthrough product marketing campaigns for Vans largest busines segments.

You will partner with Global Product merchandising, Global Brand and Sports Marketing, Global Brand Communications, Vans Legal, Global Strategy, Global Creative and Regional Marketing teams to develop product marketing strategies and tools that our regional counterparts can execute, ensuring Vans global consistency while enabling local relevancy. Your influence on how our brand, products and creative platforms come together digitally and in real life will unify the online to offline consumer journey.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

Lead global product marketing strategy and tactical planning for seasonal product marketing campaigns that target Vans lifestyle consumers shopping in streetwear, fashion, and direct to consumer channels.

Lead go-to-market process for seasonal consumer category product marketing initiatives across all Vans product classifications - footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids; align product teams on story selection, develop creative briefs and marketing plans, collaborate across marketing functions for plans development.

Deliver best in class global marketing plans that are informed by, and deliver against regional marketing priorities and expectations. You will work effectively with regional marketing stakeholders to ensure global objectives and strategies are executed in a regionally relevant way.

How you will do it:

Act as a cross-functional leader, driving alignment with stakeholders in merchandising, creative, and regional marketing, as well as at the Vans executive level.

Synthesize consumer insights, regional insights, and business objectives into strategy, and make compelling creative briefs that set creative teams up to make best in class work.

Be the consumer expert across Vans regions, know the global fashion, streetwear, and retail landscape first hand.

What success looks like:

You will help Vans achieve its near and mid-term product strategies and marketing goals.

You will bring compelling, emotionally-connected stories and product propositions to Vans lifestyle audiences.

You will operate within Vans global go-to-market process ensuring materials are created, dates and deadlines met, so that Vans can effectively bring its products to market.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 7+ years

Educational Position Requirements:

A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

What we expect you already know:

Strategic mindset and ability to understand, assess & problem solve

Fashion/streetwear/lifestyle/action sports industry experience and passion a must, global experience preferred

Deep understanding of all things digital marketing, especially use of social media platforms and mobile

Experience working with creative teams

Comfortable delivering presentations and speaking to large audiences

External agency resource management

Ability to communicate, influence, and build consensus among teams with a variety of priorities
