eCommerce Associate Merchandiser
The eCommerce Associate Merchandiser is responsible for developing and executing product strategies that maximize sales, margin and inventory turnover while delivering a best in class digital brand experience for consumers. You will be responsible for driving strategic execution for buying, forecasting, product lifecycle management, recap analysis, and storytelling on Vans eCommerce while adhering to company strategies. You will establish control-related standards and procedures to deliver on all tasks and functions related to the business and consumer experience.
How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do: Partner with Merchandise Manager to Create seasonal product assortments and buy quantities for our US and Canada Ecommerce sites for a specific category of business that roles up to meet the broader department goals. Partner with planning and store counterparts to manage product lifecycle across channels. Collaborate with cross functional partners to ensure product and storytelling are coming to life as expected to drive conversion and exceed consumer expectations. Participate in Go To Market process to influence seasonal storytelling that align with consumer insights.
How you will do it: Attend pre-season line reviews and provide product feedback and forecasts to influence assortment. React quickly to trends by identifying reorder opportunities and utilize selling analysis to determine markdown strategy and in-season inventory management. Collaborate with Site Merchandising, Marketing, Content, Product and Creative to create seasonal storytelling roadmap, product load sheets and image shot lists.
What success looks like: Building and sustaining a highly inclusive team atmosphere where the diversity of each persons skills and background is viewed as a powerful strength for the team. Effectively making decisions rooted in data and analytics but having the confidence and ability to make quick decisions when necessary with a future-oriented outlook. Driving strategic execution to efficiently achieve KPI goals.

Skills for Success
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in buying, with 2+ years at an Assistant level
Educational Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
What we expect you already know:
Previous experience in buying required and Ecommerce experience highly desired.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other cross-collaborative partners
Highly efficient in Microsoft Office- particularly with Excel
Google Analytics, Bloomreach, SAP Business Objects or other Analytics tools experience helpful
