Supply Accessories is looking for a talented individual to join our Huntington Beach, CA creative team working on Hurley cold weather accessories and headwear and other related brands and products. We are looking for someone who has experience building cold weather accessories lines and understands the technical aspects of cold weather accessories. Individual should have experience working directly with vendors and creative teams.

The Merchant is responsible for Product Development and Sourcing:

Line Planning & Product Approval
• Shop the market for competitive assessment
• Partner with sales to know and understand sales of your category and be able to apply this sales knowledge to future development
• Help build Line plans and V plans for men and women cold weather accessories and headwear with Creative Director
• Responsible for communication to licensor for all design approvals
• Assist in shipping samples to licensor, accounts and reps

Sourcing and Product Development
• Communicate with vendors under direction of Creative Director
• Specify products’ technical requirements
• R&D new fabrics and techniques
• Order samples from factories
• Get and negotiate costs within specified parameters
• Maintain sample trackers in collaboration with Product Developer

Requirements:
• Knowledge of and experience sourcing cold weather accessories
• Background in fit, fabric development, finishes and construction details
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Word, Outlook and other standard office programs
• Team player who collaborates well with others
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
