About the job
Supply Accessories, headquartered in Huntington Beach, Ca. and owner of the Hurley license for headwear and accessories is looking for a Product Developer to join the crew.
Overview
• Works closely with Design and Merchandising developing headwear and accessories. Coordinate and tracks the product development process with responsibility for meeting all deadlines and margin goals.
Responsibilities
• Develop products in the relevant categories, as well as help source new fabrications, embellishments and processes.
• Ensures product development is aligned with production calendar and within margin requirements.
• Work closely with designers in reviewing protos and submits for approval from design handover to production.
• Understand costing including yield, duties, and opportunities for value-plays.
• Maximize gross margin through sourcing strategy while maintaining quality product.
• Review and negotiates costs.
• Works directly with vendors to ensure they understand the design requirements through daily communication.
• Tracks all products and works closely with production team to ensure that styles are executed properly in production.
• Responsible for communication on all sample comments and approvals.
• Manages sample room organization of all samples from 1st protos to TOP’s
Requirements
• 3-5 Years’ experience in product development.
• Headwear and glove development a plus.
• Knowledge of product development calendar, timelines, and deliverables.
• Must be able to multitask and work in fast paced environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication and follow through skills.
• Must be highly organized and detailed oriented. Must be computer literate in Excel.
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus but not required.
• Minimum of 3 days in office required.
