OVERVIEW
We are looking for a driven Operations Manager who has experience and/or familiarity with carpentry, is an action sports enthusiast, forward thinker, no-nonsense individual to join the Keen Ramps team. The Operations Manager will oversee and participate in the daily operations of ramp manufacturing, shipping, training, quality control, and related skate event and/ or rental/ activities. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Production Manager and Keen Ramps president/ founder, Cory Keen to ensure all aspects of daily workflow are done in the most time/ cost-effective and positive manner.
The Operations Manager will supervise a team of 4-5 members of the build crew, formulate strategies to improve performance, schedule installations and oversee special projects, procure quality/ cost competitive materials, aid in product development and implementation of best practices for manufacturing/ storing/ managing our supply chain.
This position requires excellent organization skills and the ability to motivate/ mentor/ lead a small team. You should be ready and eager to help us remain compliant, efficient, and profitable across all disciplines of day-to-day operations.
MAJOR DUTIES
Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective manner.
Support the President/ Founder’s vision and strategic objectives.
Improve operational management systems, processes, budget, and best practices.
Purchase materials, manage inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency.
Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale while managing staff responsibilities, wages, and hours.
Recruit, train and supervise staff.
Decide how to best to use the shop’s workers ,equipment, and space requirements to meet production goals and ensure that production stays on or ideally ahead of schedule. Implement changes if necessary.
Monitor upkeep, maintenance, and upgrade of shop’s equipment and tools.
Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
Communicate any quality control issues with Keen Ramps team and devise ways of improving the overall product presentability.
