POSITION SUMMARY //
DC is looking for a highly versatile copywriter to join our in-house creative development team. This role will not only help craft the DC voice but will also lead the day-to-day efforts to generate campaign headlines, social content, and even long-form journalism when needed. Partnering with leads in Art Direction and Video Direction, this role will support our Global Creative Director in the development of seasonal campaigns, content franchises, commercial scripts, and sell-in product storytelling. Because DC is rooted in authentic skateboarding culture, this role will require a natural ability to connect to our endemic audiences while also extending our voice for mainstream relevance and commercial effectiveness. Additionally, this role will need to partner with our category marketing leads to develop seasonal stories that can cross borders, cultures, and translations. The Content and Copywriter will be our key liaison with both external copy contributors (as needed) and with our external PR Agency. Short and long-lead pitches, as well as seasonal Press Releases, from our Agency will require editing and collaboration for voice and strategy. The Content and Copywriter will also work directly with our Director of Digital Marketing to craft headlines and copy for our social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Create, maintain, and socialize brand guidelines for copywriting with a consistent, clear and directionally aligned brand voice across all content platforms/outlets
• Drive and supervise writing of global brand content for all channels and activities
• Analyze past content activities and evolve design of new, impactful messages accordingly
• Develop, customize and edit all global marketing related copy including campaign, product marketing, blog and social copy
• Mange the rolling editorial and content calendar in collaboration with all category leads that support global Go-To Marketing calendar
• Collaborate on the development of seasonal product-marketing stories and brand campaigns
• Lead communication and distribution of all content plans cross functionally with category leads and creative team
• Align content with global brand strategy and supports seasonal initiatives
• Work with key functions to provide deliverables against assets needed for all content plans
