About the job
O’Neill is looking for a creative apparel designer, who will design the Junior’s sportswear line. We are seeking an individual who will work well with the creative team in a fast-paced environment, has a positive attitude, is quality driven and pays close attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate well with all departments, including Merchandising, Sales, Marketing and Sourcing, on collaborating efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for concept and execution of a portion of the Junior’s line.
• Responsible for fit, quality and technical execution of product.
• Responsible for all cads, tech sketches, matrixes and tech packs.
• Provide direction to graphics team for all art requests.
• Manage all aspects of Junior’s line including: fittings, reviewing strike-offs, comments to sourcing, follow-up, handovers and research.
• Communicate clear ideas and stay on top of who our customer is via research & shopping.
• Responsible for presenting to management in meetings.
• Must be proficient in doing complete tech packs in Illustrator format and PLM.
• Responsible for creating color cads and descriptions of garments for final line guides.
