The Senior Manager of Merchandising – Digital is responsible for developing, executing and communicating the financial and merchandising strategies for all La Jolla Group brands’ e-commerce properties. Partners with all operational and analytics divisions to achieve financial plans, while collaborating with the Marketing teams to ensure the websites reflect marketing objectives.

GOALS
? Ensure optimization of online merchandise assortment to increase conversion metrics.
? Take calculated risks in inventory investments to ensure balance between revenue capture and inventory liability.
? Connect merchandising strategies to onsite experience and marketing execution to ensure holistic approach to brand experience.
? Leverage analytics to gain visibility to dynamics of the business, improve decision making and identify opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Responsible for development of Top down forecasts of business by performance drivers, including sales, gross profit and inventory positions by brand and division.
? Lead weekly/monthly business review meeting to drive alignment in performance and action points.
? Responsible for reviewing and ensuring accuracy of sales forecasts and managing optimal inventory investments
? Lead Planner and Buyer in preseason assortment process to identify assortment, category and promotional opportunities.
? Partners heavily with the sales team and Finance to develop the strategic Long Range Plan for the given product categories inclusive of product strategy and financial plan (sales, margin and inventory).
? Responsible for delivering a flexible and responsive approach to inventory management inclusive of Test and Respond, Rapid Response and Open to buy.
? Set analytics foundation with standardized canned reports and ad hoc analyses; ensure adoption of common performance metrics by cross functional teams.
? Lead site merchandising strategies for optimal customer shopping experience in product discovery, navigation and SEO.

CROSS FUNCTIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS AND DEPENDENCIES:

? Drive marketing calendar in terms of category focus, product ideas and program stories based on inventory investment and receipt timing.
? Partners with Finance and Sales Teams on financial projections and detail risks and opportunities.
? Partner with wholesale team to align on consistency of assortment and merchandising strategies.
? Lead seasonal product hindsight's and financial results to drive enhanced product/assortment/financial decisions for subsequent seasons.
? Act as lead conduit to La Jolla Group managed brands' go to person for all assortment and site Merchandising items.
? Help prioritize photo studio work flow to ensure timely completion of key ideas and high investment items.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE OF:
• Advance/Expert in Excel
• Familiarity with Ecommerce platforms(Magento)
• Retail Math
• Merchandising: Trend analysis, and assortment management
• Order Management: Order entry, Bulk management and order cancellation.
• Computer skills: PLM and ERP experience required. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
• Understanding of cross-functional dependencies within a multi branded apparel business.
• Full Circle experience strongly preferred.
