The Sales Operation Manager leads a team of EDI, wholesale, and customer support specialists optimally aligned with company sales strategy and logistical business execution. He / she manages a department that operates cross functionally between sales, production, allocation, credit, and distribution while maintaining constant and clear communication with management, wholesale accounts, and sales representatives with the goal of achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction and distribution fill rates. The Sales Operations Manager will utilize systems, process, and staff to create a culture of continuous improvement and a highly effective organizational structure.



•Manage Net sales forecast twice monthly in support of monthly & quarterly goals through detailed analysis of the order file, customer requirements, and DC capacity
o Work with Planning team on high level forecast and strive to meet or exceed agreed upon goals
o Develop outline of high risk orders and other required actions to alleviate bottlenecks and communicate to the necessary parties
o Work with sales management to create actionable results and identify replenishment / at once / fill in opportunities
•Provide ideas and concepts that drive financial results using a variety of operational processes and tools
•Maintain staff budget and track expenses accordingly
•Educate and evolve staff to be financially adept and responsible for their segment of the order file and associated sales channels / reps / customers


•Interact with software provider, internal staff, and retailers to administrate EDI process in support of major accounts
o Ensure appropriate EDI testing and setup
o Processing of EDI documents (860, 870, 855, 810, 856)
o Management of EDI orders without discrepancies or variances
o Ensure retailer compliance to eliminate chargebacks
•Oversee order file administration with the goals of on time shipping and optimized order fill rates using reporting tools and a highly effective and trained team
o Bulk order maintenance
o Ship window adjustments as needed based on customer requirements and WIP dating
o Maintenance of past complete orders
o Style, color size substitutions where required
•Confirm Purchases orders are processed in compliance with approved vendor guides
•Management of the UPC catalog as required
•Develop, maintain, and enforce departmental standard operating procedures to ensure quality and consistency
•Oversee sales RMA process and monitor returns by reason code to identify any problematic accounts or product quality issues
•Manage retailer compliance including online dealer agreements
•Utilize MAP monitoring software to inform and communicate any violations to salesforce and retailers when minimum advertised price requirements have been violated


•Recruit, hire, train and retain quality staff that promote a high level of excellence and customer satisfaction
•Distribute the workload across the team in the most productive configuration to achieve desired results
•Ensure that each member of team has development plan in place
•Ensure training for each member of team includes:
o Formal training
o Behavioral (feedback, modeling)
o On-the-job training
o Coaching
o Utilization of tools
o Mentor staff on relationship development and management internally and externally
o Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and appropriately
o Administer quarterly check-ins and annual performance reviews with direct reports

Job Requirements


•Strong Leadership and team building experience
•Details oriented and a high level of analytical rigor
•Strong Communication Skills
•Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•Experience using Full Circle ERP system including EDI


•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
•At least seven years’ experience in sales support, customer service and enterprise operations
