Planning Analyst
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Planning Analyst will be a key contributor to the La Jolla Group Wholesale Planning and Buying team. The role encompasses the full lifecycle of planning and buying functions: pre-season planning, demand analysis, buying, in-season review, and post-season hind-sighting. The Planning Analyst will be responsible for providing direction and follow through on growth opportunities and risk management within the business. We are in search of someone who is not afraid of large data sets and knows how to gather and communicate key insights to support our brands in making informed decisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:

• Analytics:
o Contribute to the overall planning impact across the organization by driving performance improvements
o Perform deep dive analysis on key business initiatives using our ERP system Full Circle and/or our BI tool QlikView
o Gather and model data while working closely with the BI team to advise the development and enhancement of BI and excel based tools
o Accountable for preparing essential planning and forecasting tools for team members to review prior to various planning deadlines
o Responsible for providing input in merchandise line planning, sales planning, demand analysis, and inventory level evaluations
o Drive further data analysis for annual budgeting, monthly/quarterly forecasting, seasonal planning & in-season forecasting
o Deliver reporting on company monthly and seasonal KPIs at all key milestones
o Audit multiple systems to guarantee critical information is accurate and updated accordingly

• Inventory Management:
o Create inventory comparisons for year-over-year analysis of inventory levels by brand and category
o Assist in the buying process by providing detailed demand analysis and recommending volume driving product units buys
o Assure the proper inventory is available for respective seasons
o Update carryover inventory assuring proper seasonal inventory reporting

ORGANIZATION AND PROCESS MANAGEMENT APTITUDE:
• Calendar/Scheduling Ownership:
o Maintain master calendars by month and season for all planning exercises through cross-departmental collaboration
o Build and maintain a project management calendar and progress report for the team
o Ownership of scheduling cross-functional meetings and following up on any pending work in relation to priority

• Ensure open lines of communication and synergy with critical departments
