Director to join our expanding team in Truckee, CA. Jones is an innovator in developing equipment and apparel

standards.

Overview of the position

The Marketing Director leads and guides the marketing process and related marketing projects, including integrated cross-channel marketing initiatives for both Wholesale and Direct-to-Consumer campaigns, eCommerce, online advertising, digital marketing, Social Media, Public Relations, Retail, and Tradeshow Campaign Strategies. S/he is accountable for ensuring marketing strategies and initiatives are of the highest quality and aligned with the Jones brand and target customer. The position drives successful projects with exceptional communication skills in a collaborative team environment.
This position requires specific experience managing a multi-channel marketing business, in both Wholesale and Direct-to-Consumer environments.

Essential job functions

Marketing Direction
- Leads and manages the marketing process as it relates to brand marketing from concept to completion
- Translate brand objectives into clear marketing strategies
- Collaborate with global Jones team in order to ensure projects are effective, on time, and that strategies are consistent across the channels
- Manage and collaborate with the global Jones team on the seasonal GoToMarket process and deliverables
- Lead the marketing direction for the seasonal messaging from season to season
- Lead all Marketing efforts with Key Wholesale Dealer partners
- Lead and oversee all Social Media marketing initiatives
- Lead and oversee all Public Relation related marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with the Brand Director on all Brand Awareness Initiatives
- Ensure all marketing communications goals are met
- Oversee deliverables, timelines and budgets
- Meet with senior leadership to present and communicate campaign strategies and solutions
- Respond to requests and ensure strategies and campaigns are executed and utilized in all channels
- Oversees the marketing direction of internal Jones brand messaging
- Leads and manage snowboard and splitboard graphics in collaboration with talented artists to create a snowboard lineup aligned with the target consumer.
- Collaborate with our Swiss office on budgets, brand directions and strategies across the different channels and continents.

Leadership, People Management, and Communication
- Lead and direct a marketing team of up to 5 team members and collaborate with the Brand Director on the strategic direction of all marketing collateral
- Prepare annual goals and budget for marketing; oversees budget
- Keep teams informed. Coaches for development of brand understanding and marketing execution
- Hire and develop staff members
- Prepare and conduct performance assessments
- Ensure effective processes and procedures with clear roles and responsibilities within and across the team
- Oversee all project marketing calendars and work with Trafficking to ensure all projects are on time and meet respective project requirements

Minimum job qualifications

Education and experience

- Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing or Communications, or equal combination of experience and education highly preferred
- 3-5 years working experience as a Marketing Director with similar scope of responsibilities and accountabilities
- Experience performing or managing a range of marketing positions, such as marketing coordinator, Marketing Director, social media specialist, public relations coordinator, and copywriter.
- Strong marketing ideas seen through to execution, and effective problem-solving abilities
- Experience and skilled at presenting to groups
- Proven ability to build and execute on concepts
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and remote team, adhering to plans and adapting quickly to change
- Experience managing projects and assignments in collaboration with others

Technical qualifications
- Proficient in both Windows and Macintosh operating systems
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint/Keynote, other project management software
- Understanding of basic graphic design and basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/InDesign

Travel and schedule requirements
- Ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally
