Job Description
This position is responsible for the day to day management of transactions, analysis, and support of all product-related purchasing, transfers, and co-manufacturing orders. This position works closely with all business units, communicating product availability and assisting in inventory coordination activities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Planning and Purchasing support 40%
• Plan and execute procurement of finished goods and raw materials to meet production schedules
• Creation of Purchase Orders and entry in legacy/ERP systems
• Provide monthly projected requirements to vendors for planning purposes
• Assist in item set up, data entry, and Bill of Materials in financial, planning and purchasing systems
• Analysis of packaging costs and variances
• Proactively report product and material availability issues

Logistics and Inventory Control 30%
• Manage requirements and transportation of raw materials to production locations
• Responsible for the logistics and inventory control of raw materials
• Coordinate international transportation for selected packaging
• Accurately maintain inventory system, provide cycle counts, research discrepancies at bottling and storage locations, investigate and reconcile inventory

Quality and Vendor Management Support 15%
• Documentation of quality issues, vendor communication and costs associated with these issues
• Responsible for tracking and follow through on all product holds and rework
• Assist with in designing and coordinating packaging testing
• Document and coordinate disposition of surplus and obsolete packaging, quality holds, and recyclable materials
• Evaluate suppliers and develop new supply sources

New Product Development Support 10%
• Assist with development of new packaging and products
• Act as liaison between designers, vendors and customer experience team to deliver on vision of packaging within established pricing guidelines
• Develop and update timelines for new packaging and product releases
• Maintain clear documentation on communication with vendors, designers, and teams
• Maintain documentation and samples for all press checks, color standards, packaging standards, testing requests and label approvals

Administrative Support 5%
• Assist in item set up, data entry, and Bill of Materials in planning and purchasing systems
• Analysis of product costs and variances
• Cross train to provide back up for other members of Supply Chain and Operations Team
• Documentation of Standard Operating Procedures as directed
• Data entry as required
• Other projects and duties as assigned

• Stock-outs
• Inventory Accuracy

Education/Experience:
• College degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field is desirable
• A minimum of two years’ experience in purchasing pf packaging graphics or CPG packaging is required for anyone not having a related degree
• Familiarity with ERP planning systems and basic supply chain principals is essential
• Broad based experience in packaging, costing, CPG operations and new systems implementation is beneficial

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions without supervision
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Position may require extended hours or overtime to accommodate special projects or vacation coverage
• Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
• Knowledge of NetSuite preferred
