Rip Curl's U.S. headquarters in Costa Mesa, California is looking for a Buyer - Women's Apparel & Accessories.
Main Purpose and Major Challenges of the Role
Maximize sales and profitability by determining optimum product assortment for our retail stores.
Accountability
• Meet or exceed all financial goals for Women’s apparel, accessories & footwear including: sales, margin, sell thru%, return rate & cancel rate targets for Flagship Retail stores
• Responsible for seasonal licensed store buys for women’s apparel, accessories & footwear
• Define seasonal product strategies for Women’s apparel, accessories & footwear for Retail
• Responsible for seasonal, chase & reorder buys as needed to achieve planned sales and maximize gross margin—including initial allocation of seasonal buys
• Manage OTB & responsible for order maintenance
• Partner with Product Manager on seasonal line creation and big ideas to ensure Retail needs are met
• Drive merchandising strategy for Women’s destination tee & fleece business for Retail
• Work with visual merchandiser, marketing & GM of Sales to ensure seasonal big ideas are executed in store
• Weekly, monthly and seasonal data analysis and presentation
• Partner with Planning & Allocations Manager on returns and markdowns
• Partner with Planning & Allocations Manager on allocation strategies
• Bi-weekly store visits and competitive shop visits
• Perform other related duties as assigned
