About the role...
To support our continued growth of our Women’s category, we have created an exciting new opportunity for a Global Women’s Art Director to join our Crew. This role will be based at either our US Office in Costa Mesa or in Torquay, Australia depending on the successful candidates location. The key responsibility of this role will be to lead a passionate global team in designing market leading graphic/art apparel products. The role will work closely with global and regional Heads of Design to set overall trend, print and color direction, ensuring consistency in the Rip Curl brand across the regions.
Working closely with the Global Development team, you will ensure consistency of fabrication, materials, construction and fits within Women’s tees, ensuring we are delivering the best quality products to our customers. Having a clear understanding of market trends, this position will use information of our target customer to guide future range developments. This will include spending time with our retail managers and wholesale accounts to understand other opportunities for meet customer’s demands.
About you...
You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding and consideration for customer segmentation within tees, ensuring balance of price, looks and silhouettes to meet our target customer. Your ability to show a deep understanding of a brand’s edit point and what influences their behavior will ultimately lead to succeeding in this role. Passion for apparel and swimwear will be shown through strong understanding of global market trends and by being extremely knowledgeable in the construction of labels, trim, fabric and printing techniques.
