Rip Curl is hiring a Trade Marketing Coordinator to work under the Director of Marketing and bring the company’s retail trade marketing to life.
Main Purpose and Major Challenges of the Role:
The main role of this job is to coordinate and facilitate Rip Curl’s trade marketing initiatives across retail and wholesale. This person will organize, fulfill and communicate the status of all in-store marketing requests while partnering with the Director of Marketing to ensure requests are approved and within forecasted budget. This job is also responsible for aiding in the coordination and execution of Rip Curl’s seasonal sales meetings and trade shows.
Accountability: Brand In-store
⏵ Objective 1: Field and service all in-store marketing request, including but not limited to lightboxes, pop, and general marketing needs from retail, wholesale and general marketing team while communicating timelines to ensure clarity of production delivery/installs. Work with retail marketing on the development and delivery of all flagship, license and wholesale window campaigns. Ensure windows are in line with global direction and are relevant in relation to in store product and are innovative and executed to the highest standard.
⏵ Objective 2: Maintain an ongoing in-store project management log and work directly with Graphic Designer and Print Shop Coordinator to ensure projects are submitted correctly and are produced in a timely manner. When applicable, work directly with outside vendors to quote and install in-store marketing needs.
⏵ Objective 3: Ensure all requests are approved by Director of Marketing and that projects stay within forecasted budget.
Accountability: Trade Marketing - Sales Functions
⏵ Objective 1: In partnership with the Director of Marketing, aide in the coordination and execution of Rip Curl’s Sales Mtg and Trade Show commitments.
⏵ Objective 2: Assist in onsite activation of all Sales Meetings and Trade Show duties including event build & tear down, merchandising, coordinating rep accommodations, group dinners, and ongoing maintenance of the space during the events.
⏵ Objective 3: Assist in the execution of all retail and wholesale events - duties including pre event coordination, onsite event build & tear down, consumer interaction, and ongoing maintenance of the space during the events.
Accountability: Internal Communications
⏵ Objective 1: Provide updates via an ongoing management of the in-store marketing log system during bi-weekly work in progress meetings.
⏵ Objective 2: Communicate any questions or concerns during bi-weekly meetings to ensure all key stakeholders have transparency and clarity on the status of all logged projects.
⏵ Objective 3: Continuously work across departments to ensure you have alignment/approval with key project managers and the director of marketing on in-store marketing requests before going into production.
⏵ Must be committed, motivated, organized and exceptional multi-tasker
⏵ Ability to travel to trade shows and key market locations.
⏵ Must be detail oriented, ensuring every standard of trade marketing initiatives are upheld.
⏵ Must be an effective communicator
⏵ Must be able to take direction and feedback
⏵ Must be able to meet deadlines and track projects from start to finish.
⏵ Must understand importance of being fiscally responsible.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
⏵ Must be an expert in Microsoft Office.
⏵ Must have the ability to multi task and manager multiple projects at one time.
⏵ Must have 2-3 years of corporate experience
⏵ Strong communication and organizational skills
